ST. LOUIS - In an effort to promote positive messages and showcase ongoing momentum around economic justice, FOX 2 and News 11 have partnered with the St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC) on a new monthly segment called “Positively St. Louis.” This month, FOX 2’s Kelley Hoskins is featuring affordable housing made possible by the agencies of creation of the housing access, through the Economic Justice Action Plan and Neighborhood Stabilization Revolving Fund.Construction is underway right now to build affordable housing with grants provided by the SLDC. Authorities say a dangerous member of a white supremacist group is off the streets after local and federal agents raided his home in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley on Thursday.Ryan Scott Bradford, 34, faces charges of conspiring to distribute methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of ammunition, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Friday.Bradford was arrested when local and federal authorities served a search warrant at his home on White Oak Avenue in Reseda where they seized 116 rounds of ammunition, firearm parts, two 3D printers, various Nazi propaganda, and what appeared to be an improved explosive device, prosecutors allege.Among the items seized from a Reseda home was a 3D printer with a swastika on its base on July 27, 2023. A massive water main break flooded a neighborhood in Sherman Oaks on Friday afternoon.Calls reporting the flood on the 5100 block of Matilija Avenue came in around 3:24 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.Sky5 video showed an intersection completely flooded with a running stream of water flowing down the long road.Moments after Sky5 arrived, a fire hydrant appeared to have burst, creating a forceful geyser that gushed water down the street to Riverside Drive. The water was spraying at heights of around about 6-8 feet with the asphalt underneath appearing completely destroyed.Water was shut off to residents in the neighborhood as crews from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the L.A. Fire Department arrived at the scene. Around 4:30 p.m., LADWP workers were able to shut down the water source and the massive geyser. A brush fire burning near Temecula has charred more than 1,200 acres with very little containment as of Friday afternoon, authorities said.The Bonny Fire was first reported around 2:45 p.m. Thursday near the 44000 block of Bonny Lane in Aguanga, a city about 20 miles east of Temecula. 32-Year-Old Man Arrested after Deadly Hit-and-Run Collision near Shields AvenueFRESNO COUNTY, CA (July 28, 2023) – Wednesday night, Santiago Ambriz-Cervantez was arrested after a fatal pedestrian crash on Bishop Avenue.Authorities responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m., near Shields Avenue after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.Per reports, Ambriz-Cervantez was driving and struck a pedestrian in the area. Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Atwater Jordan RoadMERCED, CA (July 28, 2023) – Thursday morning, one rider was killed in a motorcycle accident on Applegate Road.Police responded to the scene around 8:00 a.m., near Atwater Jordan Road.According to reports, the rider of a northbound motorcycle veered into oncoming lanes and crashed head-on with a Dodge pickup-truck.Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
